Usually, spatulas are... well, spatulas. It’s hard to get much personality going with just silicone and wood, but then you come across a set like the Spatula Set Lemon Bird and suddenly there’s so much more to go on than “where’s the flat one?” These stand out in the kitchen drawer and actually have an effect on kitchen mood - we didn’t realise how fun that could be until we started mixing up designs. This pair features blue birds on a lemon branch for the first (and larger) spatula, while the smaller one features these really distinctive yellow diamond shapes against a white background - very retro.
The natural finish wooden handle is polished with two gold rings at the top for that extra contrast between natural and manmade materials, which sounds like overkill but looks really good together. Remember: no dishwashers, please - keep them handwashed for long lasting colour. And at 34x12x2cm they’re excellent fits for small-to-mid kitchen drawers.
