This cast iron Private sign is a bit of a different one for us - not everyone thinks to display something like this. At just 19x5cm it doesn’t exactly jump out at you in a huge way, but it definitely delivers a very clear message to passers-by. It's been made from solid cast iron, so it's sturdy enough to hang up outside or on an office door.
The black and white colour scheme and the finish is quite understated, almost sort of retro, but we can see it going well with a variety of interiors. We also think it would add some charm to a café or restaurant’s back room, office doors, meeting rooms, or anywhere private. The bold, black letters have an antique touch to them - like what you'd expect on the doctor's door from a classic British film. But that’s partly what makes it so good for home decor as well - modern signs are often too generic or cold.
We like this one because it brings a sense of old school professionalism with that soft vintage aesthetic - you get clarity without being harsh. If your customers have spaces they want off limits while retaining warmth and character, we think they're really going to love this sign.
