Hen Sitting White We have to admit, this hand-painted hen ornament is just a joy to see sitting anywhere. It’s finished in a farmhouse white style, yet not too pure white. There are visible brush strokes with that dark, almost graphite pattern and then a few speckles thrown in on the wings for some detail. The top of the head has those spikes of red - kind of a mohawk moment - and an exaggerated wattle coming down under the beak. If we had to describe the shape, it’s mostly round. A plump, oversized, 27x12.5x16cm that’s mostly body and curved wings with almost invisible golden feet peeking out at the base. Then you get that slightly scratchy texture all over to simulate feathers which gives it quite an aged appearance. They’re made from resin so pretty sturdy things that’ll stay upright on most surfaces.
