A lot of our retailers have found this whale tail statuette to be a good pick for customers who are interested in contemporary nautical options and we can see why. The Whale Tail Wash Med at 23x13.5x28.2cm is not petite or quaint - this one’s for those of us who would like to bring in that maritime aesthetic and go bolder and slightly larger when compared to, let’s say, the Whale Tail Wash Small.
We find that what customers - sorry, clients - notice first is the way those gold stripes run up the tail and then make a sharp left turn at the top, almost as if it were acting like jewellery for an already lovely resin frame. There’s also lots of pale blue streaking across a silver undertone with dabs of grey worked in here and there to create enough contrast between highlights and shadows.
This isn’t something that most people are going to use as a standalone piece though but then again, this kind of organic structure works best when it's blending into different displays.
