Handcrafted ceramics continue to make a statement, and these Rica Urns are a testament to that. There’s something calming about a piece that’s textured like this, and the colour palette helps too. It’s muted, so it sits well within a space without being too loud or dominant.
You’ll notice the irregularities in the surface - and these are intentional, not manufacturing errors. The material is cement, and we like how it features tiny bubbles and uneven surface patterns. They’re mid-sized urns at about 15x15x13cm, so there’s plenty of shelf appeal without becoming unwieldy to store or display.
We think they have an interesting character as table centrepieces, shelf accents, or even as catchall containers by the entryway (for keys etc). They work equally well in homes as they do in offices - especially waiting rooms and spaces where people interact with one another. And you’ll want to keep it away from pets and kids just because of its rustic finish; the uneven edges can really hurt someone if they knock it over, though they’re very sturdy on their own.
